Self-realization IN YOGA A Complete Study of the
YOGA SUTRAS and BHAGAVAD-GITA

ABOUT THE COURSE

Realize your full potential, find your purpose, learn more about yourself and see how you can practice self-realization in yoga. Find your balance and your place in the world, and with this, develop peace, serenity, strength and determination.

You’ll have access to two courses, covering the entirety of the Bhagavad-gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

The Bhagavad-gita course covers the entire content of the Bhagavad-gita, the most important text on yoga, spoken by Krishna some 5100 years ago. The Bhagavad-gita study is based on the remarkable work of Giridhari’s spiritual master and Harvard PhD, Srila H.D. Goswami, in his Comprehensive Guide to Bhagavad-gita. Learn in detail each of the important topics of the Gita, with practical applications to transform your life, making it brighter, more focused and more joyful.

The Yoga Sutras course goes through every sutra of the text, with translations and explanations based on Giridhari’s own highly rated published book, “Revolution”. This course makes the ancient wisdom of the Yoga Sutras immediately applicable to your daily life. The explanations shed light on the original text and provide you with knowledge on two levels. First, you’ll understand what each sutra means, and second, it’ll show you how you can put the sutras into practice to improve your life.

yoga Sutras

This course, based on Giridhari’s book, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras REVOLUTION, will go through each one of the sutras and guide you through the four chapters of the Patanjali’s work:

Samadhi-pada – Understanding Your Consciousness: Explore the nature of consciousness and its perfection, the ultimate goal of yoga.

Sadhana-pada – The Path to Samadhi: Discover practical techniques for achieving enlightenment, including the general “Path of Enlightened Life” and the more focused meditation path.

Vibhuti-pada – Unlocking Your Potential: Learn about the remarkable abilities (vibhutis) attainable through advanced yogic practices.

Kaivalya-pada – Achieving Perfect Union: Explore the concept of Kaivalya, the state of perfect isolation and freedom.

The aim here is to make absorbing the Sutras a fun and useful experience. This course allows you to understand the Yoga Sutras and discover the many amazing ways in which this text can revolutionize your life.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

aBOUT GIRI

My name is Giridhari Das, or Giri for short. I am a self-help and spiritual teacher, author, and speaker. I have been practicing bhakti-yoga, the yoga of devotion, and working with self-development since 1996. My mission is to present the 3T Path, a transformative process to meet and transcend the challenges of life in the 21st Century, based on the knowledge of yoga found in both ancient Sanskrit texts and the latest research in the fields of positive psychology and neuroscience. The 3T Path can be easily understood and applied as a means of self-improvement and self-realization in the world today.

I was born in Prague in 1969 as Gustavo Dauster, the son of a Brazilian diplomat. A few years later my family and I returned to Brazil, where we stayed until I was 9 years old. Then we moved to London where I lived for the next 8 years and studied at an American High School. Later I spent a year in the USA at Brown University and, after permanently moving back to Brazil, completed my degree in economics.

My career was just beginning when I was introduced to the bhakti path through a business contact. He spoke to me about Krishna consciousness, and his wife gave me a copy of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is. I was impressed with the knowledge I found there and I soon took up the daily practice (sadhana) myself.

In 1993, I met my spiritual master, Hridayananda Das Goswami Acharyadeva, and after developing a close relationship with him as his disciple I took formal initiation in 1998, receiving from him the spiritual name, Giridhari Das.

For many years, I participated actively in ISKCON in various positions of administration and leadership in Brazil. For 10 years I was in charge of the Brazilian branch of the BBT, the publishing house of the Hare Krishna movement, and after that I served for several years as president of the governing body of ISKCON Brazil. I also ran a Yoga Resort called Pandavas Paradise in Chapada dos Veadeiros in the highland plateaus of central Brazil for almost 15 years.

In 2017, I stepped away from institutional religions and now I’m no longer affiliated with ISKCON, and prefer to encourage my students to develop their spiritual lives independently too, as yogis have always done in the past. I have also published 4 books on yoga and self-realization.

Now, I dedicate myself fulltime to producing content to share the beautiful knowledge and practices of the path of self-realization in yoga and guiding my students. I do this from my home in Wales, where I live with my wife, Charana Renu Dasi (Rhiannon Dauster), and our two sons, Bryn Govardhana and Macsen Krishna. I met Charana in Wales in 2007 while touring with my spiritual master. She has also been practicing and teaching bhakti-yoga since 1999.

The focus of my teaching is the 3T Path, a systematic, modern presentation of the ancient path of self-improvement and self-realization in yoga and Krishna consciousness. I developed the 3T Path after many years of dedicated study and practice, to share my experience and realizations in bhakti, and to address the needs and challenges of people today.

I continuously study, diligently practicing my sadhana, working on myself throughout the day, every day, as I recommend my students do.
